Plywood Climbing Walls

ABOUT PLYWOOD WALLS

Plywood Walls are a great value option and probably the most versatile, and common way to build a wall.

Almost all walls are made of 17mm thick plywood, and might be painted with protective paint, or some kind of friction paint.

T nuts are fixed to the back of the plywood to receive the hold bolts, heres where plywood walls really come into their own, you can afford put lots of T nuts on a ply board, 100-200 isn’t uncommon for a training wall.

The more T nuts the better, as you can change the routes around. Just remember not to put them in the places where the ply board will connect to the frame.

Selecting holds is by far the most important aspect of all walls, its great to have a good variety of types, sizes and colours of holds. Prices are largely determined on how big the holds are.
